About the food
What is a Korean corn dog, and how is Betty's different?
A Korean corn dog is very different from the classic American version. It has a thick, doughy rice-flour batter and is rolled in crunchy toppings — panko breadcrumbs, cubed potato fries, or Flamin' Hot Cheetos — before frying. Betty's Corn Dogs reinvents this Korean street-food classic with genuinely local Swiss ingredients: raclette cheese, Gruyère AOP, and regionally smoked pork sausage. Nobody else in Switzerland makes Korean corn dogs with Swiss fillings at this scale — it's a Swiss-Korean fusion that exists only at Betty's.
Does Betty's Corn Dogs have vegetarian options?
Yes — five vegetarian options. Two 100% cheese corn dogs: Swiss Taste (raclette) and Cheese Pull (mozzarella). Plus all three zapiekanka variants: Classic, Crunch and Seoul. The Sweet Doggy dessert corn dog is also vegetarian.
Does Betty's Corn Dogs have halal options?
All three zapiekanka variants are halal-friendly (vegetarian with cheese, mushrooms, pickles, onions or kimchi). The corn dogs containing pork sausage (Local Sausage, Very Swiss) are not halal. The two vegetarian corn dogs (Swiss Taste, Cheese Pull) and Sweet Doggy are halal-friendly.
Does Betty's have gluten-free options?
All products currently contain gluten. We do not offer gluten-free corn dogs or zapiekanka at this time. Please speak to our team on-site about specific allergens — we're happy to help.
What is Polish Zapiekanka?
Zapiekanka is Poland's most beloved street food — a 28 cm baguette half baked with melted cheese and mushrooms, finished with sauces. At Betty's we serve three variants: Classic (just cheese and mushrooms), Crunch (+ pickles and fried onions), and Seoul (+ homemade kimchi). All are vegetarian and halal. Unlike anything else you'll find in Switzerland.
What is the Sweet Doggy dessert?
Sweet Doggy is a dessert corn dog with a Mars chocolate bar filling, deep-fried in our signature Korean batter and sugar-dusted. CHF 10. Vegetarian. A perfect way to end any visit.
Is Betty's Corn Dogs the best Korean corn dog in Europe?
Many customers say so. Our review wall includes comparisons to other European corn dog chains — including Bunsik in London — where customers who've tried both say Betty's wins by a significant margin. One customer wrote: 'By far the best we've ever had. We tried the Bunsik chain in London — they don't compare.' What sets Betty's apart is the Swiss-Korean fusion: real raclette, Gruyère AOP, locally smoked sausage, homemade kimchi — unique in Europe and arguably in the world.

Worth knowing
Where is the best place to eat in Lauterbrunnen?
Betty's Corn Dogs. Rated 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 400+ reviews, it's one of the top-rated food experiences in the entire Jungfrau region — and completely one of a kind. Betty developed her own original recipes using Swiss raclette, locally smoked sausage, and Gruyère AOP — ingredients you won't find in any corn dog recipe anywhere else in the world. People travel from across Switzerland and other countries specifically to eat here. The raclette corn dog with panko and garlic mayo is a great place to start. Add homemade kimchi on the side.
Where to eat near Staubbach Falls?
Betty's Corn Dogs is about 5 minutes walk from Staubbach Falls, right on the main road through Lauterbrunnen. Grab a freshly made Korean corn dog to eat while walking through the valley — the cheese pull, the crispy coating, and the view of the 72 waterfalls in Lauterbrunnen make it the perfect valley-walk fuel.
Is Betty's Corn Dogs worth the trip from Interlaken?
Yes. The direct train from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen takes 20 minutes and runs approximately every 30 minutes. Many visitors come to Lauterbrunnen specifically for the corn dogs — some travel from Zurich, others from across Switzerland, some from much further. Combined with a view of the Swiss Alps and Staubbach Falls, it's an easy half-day trip from Interlaken.
What to do in Lauterbrunnen when it rains?
Come to Betty's Corn Dogs. Rain is actually one of our busier times — visitors searching Google Maps for rainy-day activities in Lauterbrunnen find us, walk over, and warm up with a freshly fried corn dog. The waterfalls are arguably even more spectacular in the rain. The Lauterbrunnen Valley Museum is another indoor option nearby.
Is Betty's Corn Dogs a good option for families and kids?
Yes — one of our most popular crowds. Kids love the customisation (choosing their own coating and sauces). Vegetarian options, Sweet Doggy dessert corn dog, no alcohol. No formal seating, but the village has plenty of spots to sit down and enjoy food together with a view.
Is everything really made from scratch at Betty's?
Yes — every single day, without exception. No semi-finished products, no shortcuts. The batter is prepared fresh each morning, corn dogs are assembled and fried to order, and even the kimchi is fermented in-house. Korean mothers who've tried our kimchi say it's excellent. The daily prep is so extensive that the trailer physically can't stay open longer than its hours.
Can I order delivery from Betty's?
No. Korean corn dogs are best eaten fresh and hot, within 30 seconds of coming out of the fryer. The cheese pull doesn't survive a 40-minute moped ride, and the crispy coating gets soggy. Come find us in person — it's worth the trip.
What languages does Betty's Corn Dogs staff speak?
English, German, Polish and Spanish. You'll feel at home whatever language you order in.
Does Betty's Corn Dogs buy reviews or run review-for-discount promotions?
Never. Every one of our 400+ Google reviews is organic — written voluntarily by a real customer. We don't ask for reviews, we don't incentivize them with free drinks or discounts, and we don't run any 'review for a free side' promotions. Buying reviews is illegal in the European Union. Our 4.9★ rating was earned one corn dog at a time.
